The opening is timorous and silken with delicate suggestions of white cedar and fresh vanilla leading into a more intense palate of licorice, chocolate and mild spices. The fruits rally in a languorous finale of caramelized apples and plums, prolonging the last delicious mouthful almost indefinitely.

The Grande Champagne eaux de vie that compose Triomphe are unique. They were selected and put aside 50 to 60 years ago especially for the Triomphe blend due to their exceptional complexity, finesse and delicacy. Triomphe is an outstanding blend of over 50 selected rare cognacs, exclusively from the Grande Champagne district. This blend was created in 1888 to celebrate the winegrowers’ triumph over the Great French Wine Blight, which decimated European vineyards.

Hine Domaines Bonneuil 2006

The beginning of a series, these limited edition single vintage, single estate cognacs are unique and rare. In addition to reflecting HINE’s fine and delicate style, the Domaines Bonneuil unblended cognacs are the purest expression of the chalky terroir in Grande Champagne, the most desired growing area in Cognac. It’s a treat to taste these three expressions, which are made from grapes grown in the same vineyard, side-byside. The 2006 vintage’s fruity and sweet tasting notes are the result of a year of mixed weather. Less than 20 casks of each vintage are hand-selected for bottling.
